Safe Work Practices / SWMS (23)
Don't leave Workplace Safety to chance!!

Safe Work Procedures (SWP's) ensure your workers are aware of the risks associated with work tasks. A simple easy to follow SWP will outline how to minimise the risk of injury or illness while performing tasks.

Safe Work Procedures are a means of documenting the risks associated with a work task and incorporating the appropriate risk control measures into a sequence of steps for doing the task safely.

All workplaces have a legislative obligation to identify hazards and either eliminate the risks entirely or minimise risks using the heirarchy of controls:
Step 5 in the hierarchy of controls is:

Administrative
  - i.e.  Develop Safe Work Practices/Procedures, training etc

Many topics are covered within this site, however if what you are looking for is not listed, contact us and we can assist.

Risk Management Tools (7)
Once a hazard has been identified, it needs to be assessed - Conduct a Risk Assessment.

By undertaking a Risk Assessment you document strategies on how a hazard is going to be managed. A risk assessment will incorporate the identification of the hazard, what the level of risk is and what can be done to improve the situation in line with the hierarchy of controls

We have many generic Risk Assessments and SWP's.   Remember a generic risk assessment/SWP needs to be adapted to your workplace to ensure its relevancy. Simply purchasing a generic risk assessment is not assessing the risk in your workplace.

Specific Risk ManagmentTemplates are available to cover:
  • General Risk Assessment
  • HS&DG Risk Assessment
  • Manual Handling Risk Assessment
  • Risk Register
  • HS&DG (Chemicals) Register
  • JSA's

Safety/Toolbox Talks (27)

Safety / Tool Box Talks  are staff safety meetings designed to serve as a short, sharp 10 - 15 minute on-site training sessions focused on key topics relative to your industry.

Site supervisors/managers are responsible for holding meetings with staff, so why not incorporate some additional safety training by including a Safety Toolbox talk relevant to your industry.

This important segment of your general safety program encourages open discussion on the chosen topic and allows employees to share their experiences.

All staff in attendance must sign off on each session, and appropriate records must be kept.

We have a number of prepared Safety/Toolbox topics that can be purchased individually or in packs of 10 - each Safety/Toolbox talk comes with content for discussion, sign off sheets for your records, and can be tailored with your company name and logo if so desired.

Individual Safety/Toolbox talsk can be purchased online and to purchase these in packs of ten, please email us your requirements and we will arrange for appropriate topics to be sent to you either via email or hard copy.
